      In the series of the BMW Art Cars, in which individual vehicles from recognized artists to be found also two of the series BMWs E24:

      In 1982 Ernst Fuchs made a 635 CSi [18], the artwork is from him "on fire fox hunting hares referred. For the first time in the history of the BMW Art Cars is not a racing car as a work of art painted, but a production vehicle.

      Built in 1986 by the American artist Robert Rauschenberg made 635 CSi [19] is also a regular 6-series coupe, but this one in the U.S. version. Unlike his predecessors, is not the artistic design through painting, but by photographic techniques to transfer the body.

      Both vehicles are pure exhibits, they were never in the road or - like its predecessor - in the race set up.
